The hotel was nice,. it had everything we needed. It even has a bowling alley. Everyone was very helpful. The interent is only free for the first 5 minutes but the price for extra minutes were not bad. I would stay there again. The soda was expensive. That was the worst thing about the hotel.

Perfect location for walking to the Forbidden City and T-Square. Only downside with the hotel was the charge for internet although it was only $* for an hour. Make sure you print the hotel name and location in Mandarin so you can show your taxi driver - or you may go for a longer ride then you expect. I'd highly recommend the hotel.

Capital Hotel was a great place for us to stay while we were in Beijing for a week. It is ideally located with easy transport to almost everything. The rooms were big and nice. The bathroom was also excellent, as it was large with a powerful shower and big bath tub. Although the toilet seemed to work on and off. The service from the staff was very good as well. One note, the a/c seemed to never get cool enough or well ventilated enough in the room and the window barely opens. We paid for the Capital Club which meant a much quieter breakfast that was included on the 15th Floor as opposed to paying for the crowded breakfast in the lobby. We did use the men's spa facilities and honestly found them a bit awkward. Other than this, we would recommend staying here.

Went with a tour group for a 6 day trip to Beijing to see all the sights. Really only went to the hotel at night, but enjoyed our stay. We were in a standard room , and as the other reviewers will say, I have to agree that the beds are hard. Much like sleeping on top of a box spring. And forget about the idea that it'll be good for your back, cause mine didn't feel great at all in the morning. Indoor pool was relaxing and they have a sauna and a small workout room all there for you. Gotta wear a bathing cap, even the guys with short hair. They'll sell you one if you need it. Spa wasn't fully open but I got a nice facial to get the pollution ick out of my skin. Dinner buffet wasn't great, lots of odd choices. Breakfast buffet was fine though. Bar is ok, but a little smoky. Didn't try the Italian restuarant. Staff was friendly and helpful for finding places that American's like to go see - they have the Hard Rock Cafe address committed to memory - guess we all go there. Walking distance to Tianamen Square and Forbidden City. Rooms seemed hot all the time. Ladies, bring a lighted makeup mirror because the lighting in the bathroom was pretty dim. Also, the provide a hair dryer, but the only spot we could plug it in was at the desk and there's no mirror there. Bring converters because you'll need them. Water - 2 bottles - every day and they refill all the bathroom stuff every day. Pillows, comforters and towels are all really nice and soft.

I enjoyed my stay at Capital Hotel. I got a deluxe room and found it to be more than enough room and luxury. Everyone was very good to me and very helpful when I asked questions. Because I was there to learn more about China and it's history I didn't hang around the hotel other than to sleep. It was very quiet and the bathroom was impressive in both size and functionality. I would stay there again without question.
